GENERAL INFORMATION

Fun in Commerce!

Incorporated on Sept. 25, 1885, Commerce, Texas, today has a population of more than 9,600 excluding the Texas A&M University-Commerce enrollment, which, is approximately 9,000.

We're roughly halfway between New York City and Los Angeles, or 60 minutes east of Dallas, 1,000 miles south of Chicago, and 310 miles north of Houston.

Commerce ISD has boundaries, which include some areas of Campbell, Wolfe City, Ladonia and Greenville, as well as the city of Commerce.

Commerce citizens have high expectations for student achievement. Home of Texas A&M University-Commerce we are a learning community. Graphically depicted in our logo, a partnership with the community and university provides many educational enrichment opportunities for students and staff alike.
