Skate Competition and Fundraiser
The Commerce Parks Foundation is hosting a friendly Skate Competition and Fundraiser open to skaters of all ages with events for skateboards, roller-blades/skates and scooters. 100% of the proceeds raised will go directly to the Commerce Skatepark Project, a local effort to build a public skatepark at Centennial Park in Commerce. The Skate Competition is being held:
SATURDAY, MARCH. 31, 2011 @ COMMERCE CITY PARK

REGISTRATION: Skater registration at the event will open at 12 – Noon & Check-in for skaters who registered early will open at 12:30 pm. ALL skaters must be registered / checked-in by 1:00 pm –NO EXCEPTIONS SO DON'T BE LATE!!! Skaters can register early, see Instructions on Registration Form, or at the event. Each skater will need the following to register:
- Entry fee: a $10.00 (min) donation to the Commerce Skatepark Project.
- A completed Registration Form (see attached).
- A signed Release of Liability Waiver (see attached). If you are not 18 years
old, your parent / guardian MUST sign this form.
ALL SKATERS MUST HAVE A SIGNED WAIVER WHEN REGISTERING!!!
Registered skaters, and any spectators who make a $10 donation to the Commerce Skatepark Project, will get a coupon for $5.00 off an event T-shirt (normally $15) and a free $1 raffle ticket. Spectators are asked to make a minimum $5 donation.
ENGRAVED BRICK PAVERS: Selling engraved Brick Pavers is designed to raise funds for the Skatepark Project and provide donor recognition at the same time. The donor's name will be literally "set in stone'. We are using a finished Brick Paver that has a smooth surface and beveled edges with spacers on the sides - basically a "pretty brick". Bricks are engraved using the sandblasting technique to ensure a deep, clean and crisp engraving that will withstand the test of time. The engraved bricks will be installed in the walkway and / or entryway to the Skatepark or as
part of one of the skateable elements within the Skatepark. There are two different brick sizes based on donation amounts (see below) to ensure a way that everyone can support the Skatepark Project. For more information refer to the attached documents and forms below.
